Pre-Civilization Exercise Book
(Student's Version)
This 112-page student exercise book complements the main text on the pre-civilization period. It consists of hundreds of review questions as well as twenty crossword puzzles.
The review questions require responses in complete sentences, preferably in cursive writing.
The purpose of the review questions is threefold:
- to test the student's ability to absorb the material he reads
- to give the student practice at conveying in writingin clear sentenceswhat he has learned in his own words
- to help the student improve his writing skills.
The purpose of the crossword puzzles is to test the student's ability to remember and spell key terms and concepts.
After each subsection of the main text, a note is inserted to instruct the student to complete the review exercises in the exercise book. A separate book, called Teacher's Version, contains the answers to all the exercises and is described below.
