Study Units Text
(Pre-Civilization Period)

This 142-page textbook serves as an optional, though highly recommended, supplement to the main text on the pre-civilization period. It contains ten study units that treat important concepts in great depth, concepts that every student should understand clearly before studying the rest of history.

The ten study units are titled as follows:

  1. THE MEANING OF LIFE
  2. KNOWLEDGE AND SURVIVAL
  3. TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
  4. DIVISION OF LABOR
  5. ABSTRACT KNOWLEDGE AND LANGUAGE
  6. THINKING
  7. SKILLS
  8. EMOTIONS
  9. MYSTICISM
  10. GOVERNMENT

For example, the study unit on "thinking" illustrates the nature of thinking, and its role in human life and survival. The study unit on "emotions" illustrates the nature of emotions and their role in human life and survival. The sections are carefully written for the student to grasp, with lots of examples.

The text is written inductively to illustrate how ideas, practices, and institutions logically evolved over time. Such a presentation trains the student to think logically and inductively.

A separate student exercise book is also available, along with a teacher's version containing the answers. The pre-civilization text contains a notice after each chapter instructing the student to do a study unit or two before proceeding to the next chapter.
